This award is offered to meet the needs of international students requiring a 2 year award. It will enable students to gain professional qualifications in accounting.

The course covers introductory as well as advanced units in financial and management accounting, finance, systems, tax and company law, auditing, economics and business statistics.



CAREER OPPORTUNITIES

On completion of the Master of Professional Accounting and Business, you would expect to work in an area of industry, commerce or government. Students who complete this award are eligible for Associate membership of the National Institute of Accountants (NIA) and may be eligible for Associate membership of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia or CPA Australia.

SPECIFIC ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Applicants for admission shall:
(a) have fulfilled all the requirements for admission to a three year degree or qualification of equivalent standing at this or another university or tertiary institution; OR
(b) have completed the Graduate Certificate in Accounting or any graduate certificate as approved by the Course Coordinator with a minimum Credit grade average;
OR
(c) have completed the Graduate Diploma in Accounting or any graduate diploma as approved by the Course Coordinator;
OR
(d) have completed the Master of Professional Accounting or any Master of Professional Accounting as approved by the Course Coordinator.

PROFESSIONAL ACCREDITATION

Recognized by the National Institute of Accountants.
Graduates of this program may also be eligible to apply for membership of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia or CPA Australia.
