The Graduate Certificate in Accounting is a course that can serve as an entry and exit point for the Master of Professional Accounting. The course requires the study of the first four units of the Master of Professional Accounting.
This award, in conjunction with the successful completion of the Master of Professional Accounting, will allow students to apply for Associate Membership of the National Institute of Accountants; Associate Membership of the Certified Practising Accountants in Australia; and will meet the academic requirements for entry to the CA Program of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia.

SPECIFIC ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Applicants for admission to candidature for the Graduate Certificate in Accounting shall:
(a) have fulfilled all the requirements for admission to a three-year degree or an equivalent qualification as sufficient qualification for admission to candidature; or:
(b) satify the Course Coordinator by means of other qualificatios and relevant experience of adequate preparation for candidature.
PROFESSIONAL ACCREDITATION
This course is recognised by the National Institute of Accountants.
Graduates of this program may also be eligible to apply for membership of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia or CPA Australia.

Students who successfully complete the Graduate Certificate in Accounting with a credit grade average may progress directly to either the Master of Professional Accounting or the Master of Professional Accounting and Business with advanced standing of four units or 24 credit points. Students who do not meet this requirement must exit the program.
